I can't believe I missed Delver day!!! Posted Image Oh well, I guess I'll have too express my love for Delver here. Don't worry there won't be any poems or anything. It's just that I haven't played Delver in over a year, or been on the Cythera board in that time. Last week I pulled out the old mac (PowerPC 7200, it's the only one I've got) and found Delver. I haven't stopped playing it either. It has to be one of the funnest and detailed games I've ever played. The detail of the sounds of actions (opening doors), life like qualities (you have to eat to live), everything is interactive (stealing silverware), and the storyline was long and twisting (the way i like it). Unfortunatly I found out seconds ago that there is a 1.0.4, I only got 1.0.3. D'oh!!! Posted Image Now I gotta get that too. I'm also the only one to download the screensaver, (I'm doing it right now).

I know it's late, but: Thanks Glenn adding happiness to our world by giving us the wonderful game "Cythera". (Was that overdoing it?) Posted Image

Q: How many Windows users does it take to find the search feature?
A: I don't know, I'm still waiting to see.

I like it when people tell me that PlanetForge is great, not becuase of personal satisfation but becuase I am happy it has brought joy or productivity to someone's life.

See the problem is that too many companies are focusing on graphics. That's their big goal. It's really hard to find some good games that have a good storyline. Cythera being one of the few that Ive found in recent years. That;s what makes it so good.

There was the topic about porting (is that the right term?) Cythera to Coldstone. The thought of creating plug-ins for a Cythera environment makes me giddy. Heehee. Posted Image But getting the quality of gameplay might be tough, like day and night. But I think it would be definitly worth the effort, even if it is just a few of us that would enjoy the fruits of labor.

I think you need a balance. You can have a really good game with a really good storyline, but with horrible graphics it won't be too appealing to today's world. You can also have a game with really good graphics but a horrible storyline and have gameplay that's not quite as interesting as a round of tic-tac-toe. The ideal would be a good mixture of both.

If you can make a semi-decent storyline with good complexities and have a decent set of graphics (you don't need to overdo it, you can do fine with thousands of colors) then you'll have a really good game. And, if you do it right, you won't need a state-of-the-art computer to play it either.

No, "somebody" deleted his last post, and I wasn't online at that time. When the last post on the board is deleted the front page goes to the post before last, but there's a bug that keeps the deleted poster's name there.

Besides, cache isn't big enough to hold my egoistic ideals. Posted Image

Yup, I have my hands full just keeping all those various alternate universes in my brain; have you any idea how many millions of lives would be snuffed out if I had to make room for Avatara as well? Posted Image

Perhaps then your posts will be a reasonable length.

Hmm...we could make a slogan about that: "think of Avatara, save a tree."

Or perhaps, "a whole forest of trees" Posted Image

In case you hadn't noticed, I've been keeping all my posts relatively small except for chronicles and the Kul'Shar Legacy.
