I was doing Free Maayti when suddenly a HYDRA came out of nowhere and started to attack Meleager. No, he wasn't atacking it, it was moving around. I think my copy is screwed up or something.

If I remember correctly, there is actually a moving hydra in Maayti. If you do it right, you can get the hydra to move over you. When it is on top of you, you can engage it in direct melee combat to kill it.
