I can't figure out how to get past omen's test, because I cant find out were the key to the trap door is. I've tried looking, and tried to use evrything I can find, but it seems impossible. Could you give me some advice? I also want to know how to weld the torches in that chest.

There is a secret door on the "bottom" wall. you examine it, and there will be a secret room. To weld, you move it to ready by clicing on yourself once and dragging it, then do "use" when it's still in your hand

look for a secret door by "Examining" the bottom wall of the room with the trapdoor in it. Go inside the secret passage you dicover, at one end of the passage there is a crate, and the other, a blank wall. Examine the blank wall. Now go through that secret door and into the next room.
On the wall there is a torch. "Examine" the torch and you will find a ring.

To get out of Omens test go into the room you start off in, the one with a cobwebs and the lever, pull the lever so the portcullis is OPEN. Now walk around the edges of that room, bumping into the walls as you do so, you should come across an invisble door, go into the room and follow the ladders down.

I remeber i got Cythera and didn't realise how to beat omens test and cythera sat unused for ages. But when i figured it out, i enjoyed it.
And BTW: Welcome to the boards!
