Is this a joke or am I missing something? Because by having the quote there the space is no longer blank.

I'm guessing that was the default 'filler' message for the UBB software. You'll note that since the webboard was moved to Asgard, the new server, that message has now been replaced with information about Ambrosia Software's IRC server & official channels.

On most boards using this system, there's a company motto or something there. Andrew didn't have anything to put, so it was 'this space left intentionally blank.' There's something there now, though...
