Hey, Glenn's as human as the rest of us, and I'm sure he enjoys a good game - even if it's not his own!

Besides, there's always hope that he's considering using the Coldstone Engine for Cythera 2! Posted Image

Was Tavara destroyed? I'd like to defeat him permanently in a sequil to Cythera if they make one.

That's true, if he wants to play PoG, I have no quam with that.

Oh, please no!
That's not a hope, it's a borderline nightmare!

Just because you can't figure it out, doesn't mean its bad! Do you have a Coldstone CD? Have you tried it yet, to its fullest capability?

Excuse me, but I never said the Coldstone engine was hard to understand!
It's very intuitve.

It's not bad, or lame, it just falls outside of my prefrences in an engine.
Perhaps I'm being biased by PoG, but until I see a Cythera-Level game come from CS, with 'smart' charicters, disappering roofs and the whole nine yards, I remain unconvinced.

I have absolutely no plans to use Coldstone for Cythera II (or any other Cythera related title). I haven't even gotten around to downloading it yet... I do wish that I had time to download and play PoG, since it seems like a lot of fun (and after all, that's what a game is all about).

I do, however, find its development and reactions interesting and entertaining (I was especially fond of how everybody was conv inced that they would write their great super game on 10 CDs with every feature they ever wanted the instant that it was released, quite possibly entirely done through some sort of telepathic interface that results in their creation being formed whole cloth, skipping the entire process of actually designing and implementing it (and of course, if the engine couldn't do what they wanted, they could just add some "events" and it would) - ah, I love the smell of cold hard reality in the morning...)

Oh, yes, PoG is fun but I wouldn't call it an RPG, I'd say more an action game with a good measure of charicter devopment thrown in. It is well worth the download, though.

As to the 'cold hard reality', I've discovered this with the engine I am making. I haven't even begun programing, because I having trouble confronting various issues on paper...

Anyway, Please check you e-mail, Mr. Andreas!

Yes, your opinion is rather PoG-biased. Disappearing roofs became a topic of discussion during the making of PoG, and the creators decided against it. It is quite possible, and rather one of the easier things to do. Most of the features Coldstone is capable of are shown in PoG, but used to fit in with the storyline. They are quite flexible, and capable of much more than a single game could show.

As for a "Cythera-Level game" from CS, heh...you might have to wait a while longer, those things take time. Posted Image

Still, any possible sequels relating to Cythera in the future, the few limitations (but in some cases quite large ones) might make Coldstone a bad choice for an engine right now.

I'd prefer Cythera 1.0.5 before a sequil (the bugs in the current version degrade the experience)

Well, then this issue comes up - has anyone sighted anyone else on board **, or are hidden boards not shown on the 'Who's online'?
