How do I increase my karma? What's the point of higher karma? How does one become a moderater? What's the point?

Okay, here goes: "The moderators are people who help to keep the peace on the web boards, as well as performing a substantial behind the scenes role to keep things running smoothly. Please be respectful to them, appreciate the work they do for your benefit, and try to be helpful if there is a problem that needs to be solved."Our moderators are Slayer, gandreas, Avatara and andrew. Slayer and Avatara are the active ones and keep this place running smoothly.
Karma:"Karma is a measure of a person's standing on the web boards; 0 is neutral, negative is bad, positive is good. Everyone starts with neutral (0) Karma. Moderators can warn (lower karma) or praise (raise karma) people based on their posts. If your Karma has been affected by a moderator, you will be eMailed the details of why your Karma was affected, and by whom. If Karma becomes too negative (-10 or worse), that person is banned from the web boards until a moderator raises their Karma." Slayer and Avatara are pretty generous about karma, but its just a number. Don't obsess over it.

On the subject of karma, like idiotSavant says, don't obsess over it. Sure it might be nice to have a karma of about 3 or 4, but that doesn't mean you're better then someone with 1 or 2 karma. You shouldn't judge people by a number. UE General did that, obsessed over karma, now he's not liked too much...

In my experiance, Karma flows freely on this board, whereas on the EVN boards it is quite constipated

Just remember one thing, karma isn't everything. It comes and goes. You'll get it when you least expect it. Just remeber not to flame, spam, and be a moron. Most people do not like it. But naturaly everyone will do it once during there time on these boards. Be good and soon enough you'll be one of the good denizens of the board.
