obloi limit

Hey guys, I'm wondering about obloi, it seems that there is a limit of 30,000 something, when I get more than the limit it takes me back to 1 obloi. Is this a bug? Has this happened to you? Thanks. Sorry about the bad spelling Posted Image

This isn't a problem I ever actually had, but its cause is probably related to the many other factors in the game that have similar limits. It comes down to the type of variable Glenn Andreas used to store the counters for items and things, which are usually limited to values from 0 to 65535. If insufficient care is taken when programming with limited variables like this, then an overflow can have unusual effects - like resetting the counter down to 0.

I guess. I can't get my exp. points higher then 65535. In fact, someone here said that he was level 13, which isn't possible, because I'm only at level 11. Is anyone here have exp. points higher then 65535? (Or obloi higher than 30000 something?)

65,355 is the limit for both experience points and oboli. I have never had a glitch like that before. I believe that 65,355 is 2^64.

I don't mind schoolwork, it gives me something to do, at the same time filling my tiny brain with usefull stuff. Really, I've got nothing to do. And come to think of it, what I'm playing is a school computer Posted Image. I just wish I had homework, loads and loads of homework, never to have nothing to do again. Oh well. Really I don't get ANY homework, and I wish I did!

I recommend you get on IRC. Ambrosia has there own server (irc.ambrosia.net I believe) and theres an excellent channel, #cythera on it. Its one of you few places you can get a decent conversation. Many of the people that are on this board go on there. Now, I'm not saying spam is bad for the cythera boards, but this topic has gotten off topic…

First off, not meaning to be like forge but, either refer to me as idiotSavant or Odysseus but not idiot. An idiotSavant is a lot different then plain "idiot". Second, yes, I had a disagreement with Talos but that doesn't stop #cythera from being a great channel. Also, I didn't quit using irc.ambrosia.net completely as cache can tell you.
