'Twas the night before Christmas,
and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring -
except for a mouse.

It moved left, it moved right,
it moved up and then down;
and faint, subdued clickings
were its only sound.

It danced o'er the mat,
by the light of the screen,
in the glow of the phosphor,
Red, blue and green.

At last it was done,
the dance drew to a close;
the author perused
the new message composed.

A Christmas Day greeting,
the author did send,
on the Cytheran webboard,
to his fellows and friends.
