New Chronicles 11/12

Posted 13 November 2001 - 12:07 AM
This week, the one and only Theo Nean Donly brings us the the first chapter of his story, "The Jewels of a Star." In this story, a small group from Pnyx is sent on an expedition after a mysterious entity comes to the gates. This is a good first submission(I think) from Theo. You can read it here.
We are completely out of chronicles. If you have any stories you'd like to share, please send them in!

We still have that one from Grapper, if you delete the last three posts on it.

I was hoping that we wouldn't have to use it, so I didn't mention it, but yes, we still have that one.

You mean "Grapper's Return"? Why bother - it's only a paragraph, unless there was a continuation, I don't think it's relly worth it. After all, what does that say about the standards of the Cythera Board ? Maybe with some grammatical improvement, it might be an okay story.

How did you know about that? Oh, and I always go through each chronicle before it is posted to correct the most glaring errors.

You wouldn't happen to be one of those odd people with two accounts, and have one be a moderator account, would you?

Umm... No. Sadly. One day I was looking at my URL on one of the webboards and noticed that each board had a number - and that I could jump between the EV and Cythera webboards just by changing the number. This made me very interested in how they work, so I tried incermenting the number one by one. Eventualy, I ended up discovering the place where the chronicles are stored. I figured that it would have a password if it was supposed to be off-limits... Anyway, I ended up learning alot about UBB... it's very intersting. I wish I could have a UBB board on my homepage. Anyway, if it was supposed to be secret, I'm happy to have located a leak for you. I haven't given the URL to anyone...

Bryce strikes again!
Go on, give him another Karma point.
I had a quick chronicle idea, but I don't think it's working out; I can't get it beyond six paragraphs. I'll try again tonight, and maybe get something in before tomorrow - but don't hold your breath.

Ugh, just found it. Frankly, I'd rather have a late Chronicles release, or miss one altogether, than see that published!
It might have been all right if it had been longer, and had a sequel; just might, I said!
(Heh, suddenly Talm's .sig makes perfect sense! )

OK, I managed to throw something together; it's not much, but it should keep people happy. Slayer, if someone else submits something, there's no rush to release mine - keep it in reserve, if you like.

I was afraid it would...
Oh, well. Your a trusted member of the boards, but I'll try to change Talm's sig before anyone else reads both threads... oh, yeah - I read your submission. Not Much? It's pretty good, esp. for somthing you "threw together"!
