I just found a great place to gain experience for players with more advanced characters -- the disappearing stronghold. I find myself gaining about over 5000 experience spending Cythera afternoons and evenings there, killing scores of undead (until their bones litter the space between the inner wall and actual building).

I think that killing the undead yields more experience than, say, ratlizards, because I didn't get nearly this much experience hunting ratlizards in Cademia's sewers. And this seems to be safer than killing Scylla (and not as annoying, with trees getting in the way and me having to run around to get them to appear).

But if thats where you level up, isn't there demons?? 7 of 'em or somethign like that? I can take out a couple of demons at a time but not 6 or s7. How do you deal with them?

(Personaly i just use mealgear and hector and timon as cannon fodder when dealing with harder oppents Posted Image )

Time is a predator that hunts you down. You can cheat it for as long as you like with doctors and medicines, but in the end time will catch up with you. What if I was to tell you I had found a place where the predator had no teeth?

Unlike the undead, the demons do not regenerate. Of course, if haven't killed the demons in the first place, you need only keep the door shut.

Well, when I first killed the demons here, they didn't seem to try to attack me very hard (I think they were after someone else, as a possible glitch in Cythera), because they just seemed to run around a lot and that's it. But even when demons do fight back, they seem to be easier to take out than liches because they rely more on melee attacks than magic attacks (although they still use magic spells frequently, but these can be avoided by using the odd helm).

You're right about Meleager and Hector -- they do a great job of going into the heat of battle. Timon is useful, but he gets killed easily (and Aethon seems to have poor defensive skill). I had him cast Paralyze once, and that did the trick very well, but I don't think that works normally (I can't seem to cast Paralyze on magical creatures myself).

Of course, as Slayer said, you can just avoid the trouble, although one of the crystal orbs is inside, as you probably know.

Ep in cyther is not gained by killing things, it is gained by the number of time you hit enemies

Of course, in order to maximize Exp gains, it is advisable to hit things until they die.

Well then, go around and try to kill stuff anywhere (Slayer's guide has some tips, and there are some in this thread too) until you get training points. It might take a while, but you'll have to do it to complete your mission.
