2. where can i get the mages ring
3. i cant fish even though i got trained to whats up with that

The three rings I know of in the game are:
Omen's ring (somewhere in Omen's test - see previous topics for details)
Thersites's ring (in Odemia, not a big deal)
Strange white ring in stronghold (I won't tell you what it's for unless you really want to know)

2. In the room next to the room with the big mushrooms in the Cademia slums, there's a secret door. go through the door, and down the stairs, and through the maze (don't worry, it's not hard!). There should be a mage's room at the end of the maze with a sapphire book, alchemical supplies. There should also be a dresser with clothes in it. Search the clothes for a ring.

i know that the white ring lets you into the tavara fortres because i beat the game but i wanted to learn where the mages ring was and what it does

The ring I described how to get, above, gives you the effects of the spell "Resist Blows."

Cool! Thanks. BTW, if someone read my other post that was posted w/o regard to this bit of information, please disregard it.
I've always found that room quite useful, but I guess I never really did search thoroughly for cool stuff, did I? (I even found out the story behind the room's existence)
If this ring is what Wally says it is, I think it would work as a nice addition to Slayer's guide.
