Ambrosia Software Web Board: Whoa! Tech help needed! - Ambrosia Software Web Board

My game is screwed! Every time I start it up, everything loads through until the point that you can actually play, then nothing but black and the music. Then the music eventually stops. No keyboard shortcuts work, not even a force quit. It's not cythera itself, its my save file. I know this since a new game can be created and played just fine. Any ideas???

I'm afraid your game is gone. Not much you can do, unless you have an earlier save. Try giving Cythra more memory and check that you have the newest version. If that does not work, you'll just have to start a new game. This is a reason to save as often.

Therein lies the problem. My game was fine until my last save. My problem is due to a glitch or bug in the way the game draws its windows. Prior to my save I told all party members to wait (except aethon), but did mot move away from them. Meaning that their status windows remained open. When I try to relaunch, the game tries to draw those windows in the position they were saved, even though that position is no longer valid. This is my guess anyway. My question is not so much for help, but rather if anyone knows who I should contact.

well, you could e-mail moki or David Dumham, but since Cythera has soooo many bugs I doubt they would take much notice.
