I thought some of you might be interested to see how my text-based game has been coming along. Posted Image I am very close to working on expansion of the scenario, and lots of new options have been added since it's beginning. You can download Fortress, as well as check out the progress log at www.aviaryproductions.f2s.com/downloads.html

Have fun with it! (and if you have any ideas, mail me at mailto:sethclaus@aviaryproductions.f2s.comsethclaus@aviaryproductions.f2s.com !)

This sounds like a good game, I've always enjoyed text-based games Posted Image

Only thing I don't like that good is the partially German title... i dunno why it just doesn't feel right... but who cares anyway?

To me (being American) it adds the spice of being exotic. Since you're from Norway, it is probably just sort of odd to you....I think most native English speakers would find it neat, but I couldn't be sure.

Yup, that's propably it... Germany and Norway are almost neighbors, after all Posted Image
and with the different pronounciations and all, it can very well sound exciting to American/English speakers... and it does sound better that "Fortress of the Night" which sounds like an old B-movie Posted Image

Hey this game is cool!
I have had troulbe with the in game map, it is a bit confusing and i see you used my mutual prompt idea!!!! Thanks

I think maybe you should have an option (just suggestions) that allows you to "pass" certain monsters so if you want you don't ahve to fight. I like the food and drink option that is very cool. (Bat meat??)
This game is more fun then the unregistered version of PoG you know Posted Image

Time is a predator that hunts you down. You can cheat it for as long as you like with doctors and medicines, but in the end time will catch up with you. What if I was to tell you I had found a place where the predator had no teeth?

Like a run option, where it causes the player to retreat to a room (say: run south) and it causes a 50% chance to be it. So, if they are about to die, they can take their chances and try to run.

Monsters attack you as you enter the room -- if you are in a room, and you're alive, you can get out of it without taking additional damage after you say to go in another direction.
