Cythera Add-Ons

Why aren't there any add-ons that affect play aspects by now? I haven't actually opened up Cythera with Res-Edit and done any serious exploring, so for all I know it could be very difficult to do, but I would think that someone would have attempted it by now.

I have gone into Cythera with ResEdit, and I can tell you from experience (and from glenn andreas) that there is almost nothing you can change in Cythera with ResEdit. Sure, you can change basic things like cursors, but not much else.

Most of Cythera's data is encoded and located in data fork, thus eliminating any value that ResEdit could have in that regard.

I wonder why they didn't do it like EV? EV and EVO had most of their stuff accesible via ResEdit, which is why there are so many plug-ins for them.

Its too bad that nobody can make plug-ins or addons, as a RPG such as this has such a vast potential. This game would be even more fun if people could make their own worlds, scenarios, etc. such as int games like Escape Velocity Override and such.

If you were lucky enough to look at the old Cythera site (when it was still in development), you would know an interesting fact:

Cythera was the first game built on what they planned to be an expandable engine, called Delver. However, Delver was never used for any other games. Therefore, the expandibility of a game like Cythera was more on the game company's side than on the user's side.

Like many other abandoned technologies, I guess it was just outdated before it was released.
