Why in the name of Alaric is there a detect rune spell when all runes in the game are produced by the player?

I don't know,
but that spell never word for anyone, unless you use it on a visible rune (Rune of Blocking). I haven't, and I don't think anyone else has found a rune in the game that they didn't create. To find a list of all the spells, what they do, and if they work or not go to the spells area on Slayer's site Here Posted Image

All runes are bad. I never use them.

Well, some of them could be useful if it weren't for the fact that they disappear the minute you leave the area. I guess that the Rune of Flame would be good for defense in some circumstances, but it's a lot better to throw a fireball or something like that.
