Which is harder, the Mystic spear or sword of heros? Wow! Deep question!

The Mystic Spear is. "Ask" Hector, or Meleager, about the weapons and armor to see which is better. The disadvantage with the spear is that if you throw it, and it kills the creature it hits, it dissapears. It also doesn't glow...

The Sword does more damage anyhow.

The Sword of Heroes can "Grind an opponent to dust" while the Mystic Spear will "Shred an opponent to pieces."

What ever happened to good, old fashioned, "kick opponent's wrinkley little ---"? Posted Image

Thus, the sword is more powerful. After all, dust is composed of smaller pieces than shredded enemy.

I'm not sure I understand the question: "Which is harder?" Do you mean more difficult to use or more harmful to an opponent?

I've ground an opponent to dust with the spear... Can you make the sword any better by the way (ie. with that weapons mage guy...)?

No. It says that you need 1280 obsidian to upgrade it (or maybe it was 2560, I can't remember), but when I got that much, he said he didn't have the skill to upgrade it any more. So, SoH can't be upgraded past it's starting 640 level, and normal swords can't be upgraded past the 320 requirment.

Hehe, no. It's a little thing called flax-trading. One hour of heavy duty sales, and I was amounting on 3000 bales of flax. Then, I figured out (the hard way) that there is a maximum number of items, and Cythera shut down. Oops, there goes an hour of an unsaved game. I did it all over again, but stopped at about 2700 bales. I bought my house, then went on a obsidian-buying spree at the trader in Kosha and use them to upgrade my swords, only to find that there was a limit. That's my story.

Another question, does anyone know if wielding a sword in each hand gives you any benifit over just one?

The SoH will both "shread an opponent to pieces" and "grind an oppnent to dust", just watch the text box when you hit someone. Holding a sword in both hands doesn't seem to do anything I can tell, but I might be wrong.
