Here's my usual method of killing litches...is there a better one?

1. Wear some good armor, an odd helm and carry Sword of Heroes.
2. Try to kill litch with sword.
3. Bring company to distract litch so I don't end up endlessly running around going, "Aaaaugh!"
4. Revive party members frequently.

I've tried casting at various litches, but death strike, lightning and so forth don't seem to work too well. I've never tried charm... that might be interesting.

Equip Meleager with the gauntlets and wield the Sword of Heroes and an odd helm. Ta-da! Works for me.

I use death strike
you just have to be a bit close.
Works for daemons too. They're easy.

This my first post to the Cythera boards. When you say dupe cheat, are talking about the bug that doubles EVERYTHING in everyone's inventory?
It seems obvious as to who gets what, like Meleager, the barehanded killer, gets the gauntlets, and you wear all the majik armor, unless there's a situation where one of the others is more suited for a battle so you give him the majiks and send him first.
As for the Liches, as soon as i know who they've targeted, i tell him to retreat, and proceed to hack the lich to pieces while the rest of us block him off. OR if i don't want to fight 'em, I cast mage lock on doors to their rooms. The locks wear off once you leave the floor but hopefully you've gotten everything you need.

Just beef up on the skills: sword, attack, shield, and defence.
Go in there with the sword of heroes, and a heavy shield of some sort.
Kill them before they can cast anything.

Works with demons too.

NOTE: I've discovered (may already be common knowledge) that demons are only physically strong because they cast some kind of heavy resist blows. Get them with a bow first if you can, before they cast anything.

And it's always a good thing to have Meleager crush the foes with the heavy gauntlets as you bring the sword of Heroes down on their heads.

What's this ring that protects from blows?

It is in some clothes in a dresser in one of the tunnels under Cademia. The tunnel is guarded by a golem, and has lots of portcullises that you need to open. The ring is permanently enchanted with the spell "resist blows", hence the name. Hope this answers your question.

Why are litches hard to kill? All I had was the sword of heros and a large shield and I trounce hundreds of them. (I love how they keep coming back!)

Well, if they were easy to kill, it wouldn't be fun now would it?
