So let me get this straight. A unique message found nowhere else on the webboard can not be replied to, even it saves valuable web space as opposed to creating a whole new topic? I learned of the demodocus bridge trick yesterday and was quite eager to share it. Unfortunatly, that was the only message directly relating to my finding, and, finding it quite useful, posted it. If I were to create a whole new topic on it, it would be a waste of time and space. And online, space is money.

And to have your karma lowered for trying to tell people of my discovery?

By posting this message, the thread will be most certainly locked and I'll probably get kicked off the web board for a while.

So I ask this of everyone. Is there are Cythera related web board where you can write any Cythera related information your heart desires?

To a point. Sure, we'd be glad to hear what you've discovered, however, reviving a topic nobody has added to in over 1 and a half years is really overkill. In that case, we'd rather have you make a new topic.

Take this up with Slayer, but I don't think that's the reason he lowered your karma. Before you know it, it'll just be a bad memory and your karma will be normal again.

This thread won't be locked until it becomes necessary to. I doubt it, unless this turns into a flame war.

Kicked off the webboard? I think not. People are only kicked off if they commit a serious crime, and those are rare. Since I've been here, 8 out of 3008 members have been banned from the webboards. And that is from any of the webboards at Ambrosia.

That would be here. However, if the topic is more than a month old (there are a couple topics with exceptions: mainly the "story" topics and the "character info" topics) then it will probably be better to post a new topic.

You just unluckily started on the wrong foot, and got a mild warning for that. That said, I hope you will join the Cythera community here and have a great experience among others who enjoy Cythera. Welcome to the webboards. Posted Image

Couple things I want to add:
Don't worry about your karma unless it's below 5 (like UE General and the_Chill had for a while), as you'll notice that most people bring it back up.

Probably another reason it was locked was because the person who originally asked the question has probably not read the webboard for over a year.

Avatara:
Really? 8 people? Let's see:
death_himself...
Ok I really don't know the rest, but then again I'm not a mod, am I?

-9? forge? No kidding! HAH!

He'd go on my hall of fame for 'honorable mention' under the posts catagory (as he's never quite made the top 25 to my knowledge)

In the last nine months I've been here, I remember these being banned:

1. death_himself
2. flogedillius (sp?)
3. forge (for a time)
4. foaming_at_the_mouth
5. EMINEM (briefly)
6 & 7. Forge's two friends
8. One of UE General's aliases.

There might have been a couple more.

Not via karma. OF was only banned from the Ares boards, I think, because that's where he spammed.

DF: I know it'll be a bit before you can respond to this but, how did you get -1 karma?
ferazel: Congrads on your 400th post!
Avatara: Floggeddilius is back as far as I know.
J.Ace: I don't think Mikee was ever banned, but then again it wouldn't really surprise me.

And I think OF has the highest karma now, as PlanetPhil became a mod (or so I've heard, I better check it out...)

Yeah, I don't know why though. Maybe his nickname could be ex-moderator.

lol!
Or maybe "fallen mod" or "fallen angel" Posted Image

I think his de-throning was caused by too much spamming. Up to the experts to tell, I guess.

Off that matter, maybe "webboard Satan", "Satan on the BBoards", or something similar.

I think he was dethroned because too many complaints were registered against him, though spamming may have had something to do with it.

He already has a name- deposed despot Posted Image

Yup, I checked it and PlanetPhil is now a moderator, I believe in the EV B&B place but I might have to check up on that.

PlanetPhil replaced ColdFusion as moderator. Captain Carnotaur replaced Andrew M. (?) and several months ago (last November, a few weeks after I became a mod) foo12 replaced OctoberFost.

That makes sense, as I know Carnotaur and Phil just became mods, ColdFusion was just deposed (why, I'm not sure) and Andrew M. stopped posting a while back (he changed his account to Jormungand (sp?))
