I was looking on the older pages and I found this, hehehe.

"Let there be hints for the newbies!" and there were.

iii. Slayer spake unto the web board and said "There are updates to my
guide" and the web board went to Slayer's Guide and read that the spell Fetch demolishes things.
iv. And Andrew Welch came unto the web board and spake thusly"Who would make a good overlord for the web board?"
v. And the web board rose up and spake "Slayer!"
vi. And Valkyrie spake thusly "Surely Slayer is great, for who but a great one would have such support? All hail Slayer."
vii. And the people bowed to Slayer and spake "Surely Slayer is great."

Kudos to the now rarely (compared to the good-ol days) heard from Slayer!

He was registered then, Andrew's idle account purge last November deleted his account. I think that was from when they were celebrating Slayer's moderatorship.

He is, he just hasn't posted near as much since he became a mod, and even less after Avatara became mod of the webboards.

Good memories...

I first started coming to this board not long after Cythera was released, seeking answers to many questions about Cythera, and in turn providing the answers I knew of. Time passed and my knowledge of Cythera increased. Eventually there came a person, Lord Gwydion if I remember correctly, who just asked a lot of questions. This prompted me to create "Slayer's Guide to Cythera," a resource intended to provide answers to most any basic question about Cythera (and a lot of the more complicated ones, too). Not too long after that, Andrew decided that the Cythera web board needed another moderator(besides himself and GAndreas). I guess everyone liked my guide to Cythera enough that they voted me in. College has been keeping me busy lately, but I'm still honored to be one of the moderators of this great web board, and I make sure to stop by a couple times a day, when I get the chance.

And Slayer also takes care of the chronicles.

Gandreas...I think he has ceased(sp?) to exist.

Yeah, I'd probably screw it up if I attempted to moderate the chronicles and add-ons.

Gandreas is around, probably writing up another game. I was surprised at my e-mail today when I learned that Gandreas had made other games before Cythera. Maybe Gandreas is working on a sequal to one of those, or maybe a totally new game.

Either way, just because they don't post doesn't mean they don't exist. Look at Andrew for example. Posted Image

Hopefully, mr.Andreas is working with a sequel to Cythera, or maybe a game no one have ever heard of...

Yeah, a couple things to think about.
1: Andrew probably has close to 12k posts now, but way back he posted 'test' as the only word in a response to basically every single string in (at least) this board. (note: kinda funny as Andrew who never posts in some boards has 4 times as many as the next person up (Captain Carnotour (or Carnotaur))).
2: There was actually an older board that occured before the last 17+ pages of this one. But since it was used somewhere else I can't seem to get the URL of the database. (if there even is one)
3: Glenn Andreas is almost positively not working on a sequel to Cythera because of a couple strings a while back i read that were something like:
What do you expect from a game title (or something like that)?
A sequel? Patches?

Anyway, judging by some of the... not very well thought out (but honest) responses, I'd say that gandreas has decided that Cythera 2 would not be the best use of his skills.

On a matter of karma: (yes I know it's off topic but i'm lazy and proud of it Posted Image)
As far as I know (as the members section doesn't list by karma), other than admins and mods, the highest person in karma is OctoberFost with 7, then Talos/Rogan with 6. Someone please tell me if i've missed someone.

Andrew actually has around 3000 posts, he just changed his post counter higher to stop the people bragging "that they posted more than Andrew".

What about PlanetPhil, I think he has 8.

So...
PlanetPhil - 9
OctoberFost - 7
Talos - 6
Rogan - 6

Hehe. I got a Cythera Archive and soon I'll call for a hall of fame. Posted Image

Slayer - Can you find the URL of the older webboards. You'll notice that if you change it to all articles: and then you look at the second earliest one, you'll see some guy asking where the 'old' ones went. They are no longer visible.

From what I understand, the "old" topics were on the "old" (non-Ambrosia) webboard. I also recall Andrew saying he couldn't bring them back, and that site was closed down.

There was an old message board at delver.com that was replaced with this current system (it was a different webboard all together). I might still have the old messages somewhere, but they aren't that interesting or useful (since that was all from before the game was released, so it was a lot of speculation, questions about the game, and "it would be really cool if you could do X, and while I've never written a commercial program before it can't be that hard to add this, so you better make sure it can do this or you'll all be lame" messages)

I am _currently_ not working on "Cythera 2" though I have done work on various technologies that may (or may not) be used in such a creation. At some point I do _want_ to make a "Cythera 2" (I've got the basic plot worked out, as well as a rough idea for Cythera 3), but there are a bunch of other things I also want to write at some point as well (and saddly I've been too busy to work on _any_ of them).

Just setting a few facts straight here...

Omen will actually be part of "Cythera II:Shattered Realm" (or perhaps "Cythera II:Quest for Alaric") - after all, he has a major score to settle, and can turn up like the cockroach he is (though this time you might even have to trust what he is saying, or then again, maybe not).
