I have the three shards, two joined, and I've completed just about every mission I can possibly complete. I haven't negotiated a wine contract, but Charax never figured out the Earth polarity reagent (I've waited over a dozen days).
I've gone to Kosha, where Pelagon/Magpie asks for the shards, and I refuse to give them to him. For some reason, however, even if I keep saying no, the computer seems to think that I said yes, and kills me. This happens after he threatens me, and it happens consistently. Does anyone know why I can't refuse to give him the shards?

I think you tell him no for every time he asks, except the last time in which you want to say "yes".

"Do I have to take them by force?" Magpie yelled at our hero. "Yes!" he replied.

Hmmm.

And so the problem remained; lots of people were mean, and most of them were miserable, even the ones with digital watches. Many were increasingly of the opinion that they had all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that the trees had been a bad move and that no one should ever have left the oceans. - Douglass Adams

Rogan: No.
Pelagon: What do you mean? Hand it over!
Rogan: No!
Pelagon: Do I have to take it by force?
Rogan: No!! **** it, I mean "yes!"
Hector: We're screwed...

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a night. Teach a man to fish and he'll drink beer and sleep in a boat all day!
