This week's chronicle is the "Fourth Prophecy of Neleneus the Savant." It was submitted by The Dark Dragon, and deals with the end of the universe. I must say, I was rather hesitant to post it, as the end of the universe did not seem to me to be a very good thing. If you are enjoying the "Coming of the Dragon" story thread, then this is a must-read.

Also, for the first time in quite a while, we have a new Cythera related file, courtesy of Tycho Maudd. It is a patch which enables two menus that were previously disabled. There is a menu that controls the sound, and a menu for controlling graphics and speed of the game. If you've ever wanted to run from Land King Hall to Land's End Volcano in 45 seconds, then this patch is definitely for you. You'll need to have the latest version of Cythera in order for this patch to work. Also, Ambrosia makes no claims about the effectiveness of this patch, so if it blows up your computer(it didn't blow up mine) it's not their fault! You can pick it up at the Cythera Add-Ons page: http://www.AmbrosiaS...era/addons.html

Make sure to submit any chronicles or Cythera related files you might have. There haven't been any new chronicles submissions in week or two, and we're starting to run low again.

Cool. I've been trying to get some of Cythera's music and post it, some people wanted it a while back, but music isn't playing on my system. :/ Could it have anything to do with Q5?

Very nice, DD! I still haven't posted the double chapter "Once Again", I will in a minute. Sorry, Slayer.

Tycho Maudd, I haven't downloaded it and looked yet, but just how did you write this?

And so the problem remained; lots of people were mean, and most of them were miserable, even the ones with digital watches. Many were increasingly of the opinion that they had all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that the trees had been a bad move and that no one should ever have left the oceans. - Douglass Adams

Well i was just hacking around in Resedit and i found 2 menus that weren't used anywhere. So I tried turning them on in the MBAR ID 128 resource and ran the game. Then i checked out what they did and made a patch that will enables the menu's using Rescompare.

PS did you know that the real name of Cythera is "Cythera: Fate of Alaric"?
PPS to change the name of your charater, the name is stored in the Data Fork of the saved game file at offset 000021 in hexidecimal if your convet it to ASCII format, it will be your name. TO change it replace the values there with your new name (up to 31 charaters) to make it longer, replace some of thegth the same) and to make a smaller name fill in the "Empty" spaces with ^ (Hex 00) agian keeping the file length the same size. I think that explains it. Posted Image

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly diaasppear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
There is another which states that this has already happened.

The unpatcher for the Cythera menu patch is now online. You can get it(if you want it) in the same place you get the patcher.
