OK. I have about a zillion questions, so I'll ask them all at once! Number one:" I have Hector and Maleagar in my party, who else can I get to join me? Number two: There is a ruffian encampment north of the great swamp. How do I get in? Door is a tad locked. NUmber three: How do I get across the swamp without getting poisoned? Also, is the amulet rechargeable? I have a suspicion not, but I'm hoping against hope. Oh well.

Welcome to the webboard! Posted Image And welcome to the wide world of Cythera! Posted Image

A mage named Timon and a ratcatcher by the name of Aethon will join you later in the game whan you complete certain tasks. Just say "join" to them. Some persons will also join you, but only for the duration of certain missions ("rescue kidnapped Ariadne" and "take Dryas to Berossus")

Just breach the door. You can use any weapon, but a mace is the best door breacher. If you plan on getting out of there alive, bring a good weapon and Hector and Meleager because there are 30 ruffians in there (with lots of money and equipment!)

If you talk to Alastor, a tanner in Cademia, you will be asked if you can get a gator skin for him. If you bring him a dead gator, he will give you some boots (a few days later) and if you put them on, you won't get poisoned. What sucks is that you have to get into the swamp to get a gator...luckily, the purple potions works as antidote.

The LandKing amulet is NOT rechargable, but later in the game (much later) you will get a spell which will make you able to resurrect your party members. I never use the amulet. I just save often and load the game if I'm killed.

Hope that helps.

Tip: if you walk along the outside edge of the swamp, you can lead a gator out. Just in case you don't want to get poisoned...

If you do get poisoned there are a few options:
1) die, not recommended
2) if you have the registered version, ask Alaric for 'help'
3) in LKH, near the nexus there are some potions, drink the... purple one I believe.
4) in the Pynx, in the alchemy room, there are the same potions.
5) if you have the registered version, learn alchemy and make some purple potions (out of spider's webs)

Hope this helps!

_Or_, wear omen's ring. I think you only need one to keep your life stable while poisoned, but you might have to duplicate it.

Omen's ring will enable you to heal while poisoned, but you will heal at significantly reduced rate.
