When I try to start it I get a Type 2 error. I have tried giving it more memory and running without extensions but it hasn't helped. I'm using Mac OS 9.0.4 with 128Mb RAM, can you suggest what's wrong?

Thanks in advance.

This may or may not help, but off of an error guide I got this (I'm assuming its a positive 2):

Quote

Copied From "Apple Error Codes":
ID=02 Address Error
The Motorola 68000 microprocessor can access memory in increments of one byte (8 bits), one word (16 bits), or one long word (32 bits). The microprocessor can access a byte of information at an odd or even memory address. But it must access a word or long word at an even memory address. So, when the microprocessor attempts to read or write a word or long word at an odd address, you see this error. Since that's a 50/50 proposition when running random code, this one shows up quite often.

Okay, so according to the quote, as far as I can understand, you should try downloading it again. But I don't understand things too well.

Odd...

The fastest Motorola 68000 was 16 MHz, I believe. According to the error type, though, you would have to be using one. This is strange, as your computer has 128 MB RAM, more than any 68000 machine could ever hold. Also, machines that old couldn't run Mac OS 9.0.4. It's PowerPC native.

Since you must be using something newer than a 68000 (or a 680x0, for that matter), the error message is probably bogus. Unless the error is really -2, or error 2 has gotten more meaning in newer processors. Very strange, though.

PS. Guys I'd really appreciate it, please, it's not that much work.

Gosh, it only took several years of my time to make the game - it wasn't "that much work".

You do not have any right to ask to steal this game - and steal money from me. But gee, it is so difficult for you to register it, so why both, when you can just steal it. You're saying you're an american - you don't have family stateside that could register the game for you? Oh, no, then you'd have to pay for it, and you want to steal it. Or perhaps a credit card - those are pretty common, and you can then register right on the web - but no, again, you'd have to pay for it.

If you think this is an "excellent game" then shouldn't the creators of it be re-imbursed for the effort it took to create it?

Trust me, it's people like this that make me not want to release further games - I can make far more money writing printer drivers and not have to deal with twits like this who whine about anything they can to try to rationalize why they should just be allowed to steal the software instead of paying for it. Guess what - the world doesn't work like that - you don't get things for free just because "it's too difficult to pay for it". It's time to grow up and accept responsibiliy for yourself - stop whining and start acting like a useful member of society instead of a sniveling, selfish, inconsiderate pustule.

ps - We don't care how much you'd "really appreciate it" - you don't seem to care that we'd "really appreciate it" if you paid for it.

And with that, I think this tread is closed...
