Okay - here goes - hope you can bear with me - I am at level 8, I have over 12,000 points, have not received any training points since I was just below 4,000, can't learn Alchemy (not enough experience), can't learn Fishing (not enough experience), I have completed all the missions that I can up to the point where I need to know Alchemy to move on, have found 9 of the 10 books - where is that darn 10th book? Is it out in the sea and do I have to learn fishing to get it?

I'm confused as to why I can't get any more training points or gain enough experience to learn anything new. If I remember correctly, I have 31 of the 51 possible spells that I have learned. I am stuck, tired of talking to everyone over and over again, and have killed ruffians til I'm blue in the face. ANY SUGGESTIONS? HELP? HINTS? ANYTHING...

Thanks!! Posted Image

ARRRRG! Well, first visit Slayer's site, that'll have some info. If Slayer's site doesn't have it, check the fourms. If niether of those work, try consulting Ambrosia.

It sounds to me like you're looking for the book that is buried far south of Odemia in a pile of sand. You need to get a shovel, then dig up that book. If you go south along the coast from Odemia, you get to an inlet, and that's where the book is.

Your next level up comes at 12,800. Just keep fighting.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but fishing probably was something neccessary earlier on, but its usefulness was removed in beta. No "deep water" exists.

Thanks to all! 12,800 - what a relief - got there and FINALLY had enough experience to learn Alchemy and happy to know that I don't need to learn fishing since I have no idea who it was that I would need to learn it from.

I got the book you're talking about, Slayer. The only one I'm missing is the Book of Knowledge - anyone remember where that one is?

Levels come at twice the experiance as the previous level, starting with 100 exp. being level 2. To gain levels easy (or not easy, but fast) fight sea monsters. I have found that they best way is:

1) get full mana from Alaric.
2) go out north west of Land King Hall and find the sea monsters
3) get behind a tree and cast fireball (twice if enough mana)
4) finish off any survivers
5) direct nexus and repeat from step 1)

This is nice because Alaric never sleeps, so you'll always have full mana. Have fun!

btw, I have a character on level 11 Posted Image

ACE! is the "advanced savegame editor". You can download it from Slayers site (on the "hints to make the game easier" section). ACE! lets you edit your savegames in Ferazel, Cythera, EV, Marathon and much more. And it`s simpler than pandoras box.

Actually, Pandora's Box is easier. With ACE! you have to have a saved game. Although it might be easier to use Pandora's Box will do it in the game directly.

Maybe you should try Pandora's Box. You might see that it works in the game.

I tried downloading it from Slayers site, but I couldn`t. It just said "the spesific *something* was not found". So I`ve never actually had Pandoras box on my computer Posted Image

About Dian's question a long way up, there is no Sapphire Book of Knowledge that I know of. The only ones are Power, Wisdom, Splendor, Victory, Foundation, Beauty, Crown, Understanding, Mercy, and Kingdom. If you don't want to find Slayer's site, they are in the following locations:

Power: In the maze underneath Cademia. It is guarded by a golem and a crapload of portcullises.

Wisdom: Underneath Abydos, the ruined city. It is guarded by a demon, but it has never attacked me.

Splendor: Search the bed of the northern bedroom at the Citadel in Catamrca. the book is in the bed.

Victory: I think it's the one on the shore north of Catamarca.

Foundation: I've never found this one, I think it's the one that one of the seldane has.

Beauty: Complete "Seek out Prusa", then talk to her for several days. She should give you the book.

Crown: Behind the locked door in Alaric's quarters.

Understanding: In a desk on the upper floor of the Magisterium.

Mercy: Ask Itanos, the judge of Kosha, about "Sapphire". He will tell you to come back at sunset. Sleep until sunset, then talk to him again.

Kingdom: Behind one if the locked doors in the castle in Cademia.

Hope this helps you on your quest, Dian Posted Image

The demon attacked Timon (bastard, coward, chicken and other unfriendly words...)

After 12,800 experience points, how many more do you need to advance? Also, in the Cythera documentation, it shows a character with 66 mana. Is that possible? why doesn't mana advance with use like health advances with battle?

It's possible. When you get more expearence in the skill 'Mana' your max magic will increase by one.
