How do you get the guy who says get off my yard to teach you persuasion?
and what does the green crystal ball and the sapphire book of beauty do?

Which green crystal ball?

There are a total of 10 sapphire books. For every two you find and return to the librarian he tells you the next password for a higher level hall of magic.
