I just beat the place with all the ruffins. There was crate fulll of "Odd Helm"

Odd helms provide some protection from magic, and can be useful when you fight magical monsters. (especially in the fortresses) Unfortunately, they don't provide much physical protection, so you have to think about where and when you should wear it.
