If you already have 1200, it can be fun to make another 8800 ob. by buying and selling flax, then buying a house in Cademia. A lot of people have done this, including me Posted Image .

There's only one point of owning the house: to boost your ego.

The house you buy is the abandoned building to the west of the Commons in Cademia (the garden/commercial rectangle in the classy part of town). The name of the guy who sells it to you is Antenor, and it says on the southern side of the abandoned building that he is trying to sell it for 10000 oboloi. He is in an office just a bit to the northwest of the Commons.

There's a cheat that lets you carry more than you should be able to: (use this to buy/sell large amounts of flax and store the money you get from it)
1. Get a box that can carry a large number of grains. Chests can hold the most, at 255.
2. Put it in your characters inventory.
3. When you need to take something, but lack the room, put it into the box and then transfer it to your characters
main inventory.

You can hold as many objects as you want say 123,234,234. You simply find a chest and take it. Then put the object you have no room for in the chest and then move it to the inventory.

Slayer: What is the biggest object you've gotten into your house (in Cythera)? The biggest I've gotten is a chair, and I *almost* got one of those endtables in. How about you?

I've managed to place three chairs, two plants, one candleabra, and one chest. Everything else either couldn't me moved or didn't seem like something I wanted in my house. Naturally, I did some magical cleaning, too (not so magical, in the case of debris).

I know how you get rid of debris, but you had said something earlier about getting rid of the spiderwebs. How do you do that? Do you use the fetch spell on them?

A warning for all who hope to make huge money by trading flax:
THERE IS A LIMIT ON HOW MUCH YOU CAN MAKE!!!
I was going for the house, and I figured I might as well make some extra cash and upgrade my swords, you know, buy obsidian for a min. of 10 obols, BUT when got up to buying about 17000 obols worth of flax(that's about 2429 bales of flax) I got a message saying that some limit had been reached or something, and Cythera booted out, and I lost about a half hours hard work. SO, don't try to do what I did, because it dosn't work.

P.S. And THERE IS A LIMIT ON HOW FAR YOU CAN UPGRADE SWORDS(320 is the last upgrade(The "Sword of Heroes"(Is that what it's called? I forgot.) is only at 640), after that the Freemage, I forgot his name at the moment, says it is beyond his skill) And sorry for all the ()'s

Oh, and while I'm at it, is the key that comes with the house usefull for anything? Like if your trying to beet the game without magic, you might need it.(I am regestered, I'm just to lazy to find the password, and I just play with out magic for the challenge)

And also, a month or two ago I read something about black discs, but I didn't really pay attention because I hadn't gotten to the part in the game where you need them yet, and all I can remember is that they are located in some cave or temple, but that doesn't really narrow it down. And don't worry about telling me, I have searched for weeks with no success, and have found squat.

*sigh* all this typing is tiring me out *pant* *pant* But one last thing:
What's with the stairs and steps you can't get to in the Temple? Also, I made a Combat ai for Timon where he just shoots magic arrows, but there is a bug and he continues to fire at stuff, non enemy stuff, after all enemies are dead. Anyway, I was in the Temple when he when on shooting after I killed the polyps, and it said he hit a "force wall", so I know something fishy is going on there, and I hope someone could explain.

Thank you for reading my rambling,

The temple with the black disks is in a cave under a cave under Landking Hall. There are a few ways to get to it. I don't want to ruin it, so I'll give you some hints:

•Look for a "narrow passage" (visible as a short green line through a wall on Omen's magic map), the one you need is in one of the rooms in Landking Hall.
•Try using the first two fused crolna fragments on standing stones and force walls.
•The black disks need to be used in the temple in front of which you found them.

If this isn't enough, visit www.macclassics.com/cythera/cythera.htm for walkthroughs, hints, etc.

When you have more than one piece, I think you just use one piece on the other and they will be joined (I think).

I think they mean the spell "mystic arrow." I think...

maybe. but i still want to know what the magic arrow does that is different from plain arrows. Is it still in the bodies of your enemy or on the ground like spears or the mystic spear so you can keep on using it?

If you mean mystic arrow, then it does much more damage than a regular one. However, it still isn't enough to kill anything, usually.

No, I think he means the Magic Arrow you find in the locked chest in LandKing Hall. It's in a small sub-room in the room that your quarters are.
