Is it possible to sell objects and items stolen/recovered/previously bought in Cythera?
(Or have I just darkened my soul and burdened my inventory in vain?!)

Sure. There's a gem merchant in Kosha, south along the coast from Cademia. He'll only buy gems from you though. There are others. I forgot them all. There's one in Odemia, I think, who'll buy cloth.
