Hi there,
i just bought the game and tried my luck with a mystic.
Now I got a few jobs (help king, cure plague...) but I don`t get better because I die all the time.
Please help and tell me how I get experience to go up the first few levels.

Thank you very much and excuse my english Posted Image

Do you have Hector yet? He can help in early battles. Ask him about JOIN at LKH, then ask his father about HECTOR, then ask Hector about JOIN again. As for battles, try to get the one from Odemia first, the one to rescue the princess or whatever. It's easier (I think) than curing the plague.

If you can venture out withour being killed, my suggestion would be to slaughter animals like unicorns and titans. If in all miracles you get to mining camp, go on a lizard hunt.
Once you get hector, beat up two ruffians in the south and get their money. Now go to the bridge and talk the beggar, ask him name then join. Pay the 50oboli. Its cheap and a one time fee.
Learn directed nexus as soon as possible, so that you can easily go back to land kings hall and get alaric to heal you.
When you have meleager and hector and your at around level 2, try to cure the plague.

Remember one thing: Go to Pnyx and learn mana and casting. You should now have a spellbook. Use it on your scrolls (the ones that you find in your desk drawer), because if you use one of the scrolls, they will disappear (exept the Nexus spell). When you are on the mission "rescue kidnapped Ariadne" you can use Death Strike on the ruffian blocking the door. Posted Image

Here's another idea, for the registered and the daring. Up in the northern of the two wrecked rooms in the Hall, there's a secret passage that leads to an underground corridor. You can take the corridor down to the Pnyx-Cademia Mtn. pass, and swing west to reach the Magisterum. Along the way are about 240 exp worth of ratlizards and oozes, if you defeat them by yourself. It shouldn't be hard; I defeated them with Attack 1 and Defense 1, but remember to snag an antidote from the portal room!

I managed to reach level 3 by the time I learned magic, and started my adventures off with Attack 1, Defense 1, Cooking (easy 10 exp and free food!), Casting 6, Mana 11 (no kidding -- more mana than hps!), with 4 more left over -- Alchemy, Healing, Mana, and Haggling. Fast, easy, and a great way to kick off the game!
