Strange helms protect against magic, yes you probably could kill everyone in the stronghold with max mana except the lyches who come back every minute or so.

"HAVOK!!!"

Dogs: "rhumph arf, *chomp*"

Lyches are a pain in the arse. They pop back up after you kill them, plus they have all thier magic again so they do even more lightning. I never tried using deathstrike on skeletons, it was never necessary, Fireball go the job done much quicker.

Yeah the Linches are pains. I noticed they kept comeing back, odd helms didn't help my comrades so am thinking I should just leave Mel and Anth behind, but wha t is the strong holds? anything worth my while? tho I did find it fun useing sword of heros to grindem all to dust or te spare bombs I carry. Also I coulda sworn I saw the undead come back.

you say their magic comes back so do more lightning, dose that mean their magic can be worn out and then they pose no threat, or do they have a melee for back up??

It's LICHS! Not lynches or lyches.

At least I think so.

Liches don't come after about a minute or so. The game doesn't work on time at all. IF you stay still, no matter how long, the game is paused. If you move far away enough from where the lich, or most undead actually, starts out when you enter the place, it will come back.

theres a big metal door to the east of the entrance to the basement. in there is a coffer that has a ring. put it on and the other stronghold wont dissapear.
also, the first stronghold contains a purple creystal ball

Adolf, I believe you refer to William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. The quote is actually "Cry "Havoc," and let slip the dogs of war."

What DO they teach in American schools?

If membory serves thats what the Klingon Captin said a time or trow in Undiscovered country. Seeing as how it sounded cool, and I am a Klingon fan I decided to use it

The magic should get worn away, but that hasn't been implemented yet. I believe if you're standing next to them they'll use a physical attack.
You don't have to be so precise, I know there isn't any realtime in Cythera, I just gave an example of time if you were always moving.
Yes it is Lichs. I just don't care whether I spell it right.
There is a saphire book in the stronghold, i think, and a book refering to the origins of the game.
As for what they teach in American schools, nothing terrible useful or unuseful, things like the eating habits of starfish or how to build useless devices out of mousetraps. (no offense to anyone who actually goes to an American school such as myself)

I've got a question here.

I think that all of you have noticed the metal door in the first stronghold that turns into a wall. Well is there any way to get behind that door?

I've tried the Fetch spell on the door and on the wall, but it didn't work.
