Was it really necessary to change the color scheme and font of the Cythera board? It was easier to read before…

Yeah guys, the Ferazel board is hard enough to read, but this one's even worse now. Andrew, can you please change both boards back, or if you really feel the black background must stay, pick some better colors for the text? Please? I know there are plenty of people who agree with me because they've said so on the Ferazel board.

I was going to say something about it yesterday, but I'm starting to get used to it now. However, the older, white background would be more appropriate! Thanks.

True it was easier to read earlier, but noone downloads the cytherian makeover because it is easier to use.

Ok, well, now that I'm looking at the new colors on my Mac rather than the Windows machine I was on at work, I think the colors might be alright. But the font looks a little fuzzy in the light text on dark background. Maybe you could just change the font to something with a cleaner edge? At least consider it?

Actually, Andrew, my dislike of the new colors on both the Ferazel board and this one may stem from the fact that for eight hours a day I'm stuck on a Windows machine. Since I assume you're developing these pages on a Mac, you might check them out on a Windows machine too, to be sure they still look ok for us poor souls who don't have Macs at work/school.

hmmm. Try switching it into 16 bit color mode -- the pages probably don't look all that great in 256 color mode on any machine. Other than that, it should be relatively platform-independent.

BTW, check out the new Cythera web site:

I'm running in 32-bit color on the Windows machine. Most web pages show up darker in Windows than on a Mac, in my experience. It is my understanding that it has to do with the gamma. Fonts and colors do not appear the same across platforms or across browsers. That's why many websites use style sheets or some other method to set the font and color depending on the platform it's being viewed on.
