Ambrosia Software Web Board: Ack! I stop playing for a while and suddenly BOOM! - Ambrosia Software Web Board

Sort of.

After asking about it several times I have not yet been successful in talking with Halos and I never found Demodocus (in Cademia). So I fire up Cythera after over a month of not playing, hoping I can still remember enough to play, and I talk to Bryaxis about Demodocus and he said he just left but was going to Kosha! And of course I stumble upon the fact that he is NOT in Kosha as was discussed months ago at the founding of the Cythera web board. Of course I didn't know what everyone was talking about then but I learned the hard way apparently.

I need some more direction. I am capable of figuring things out but I'm really just flailing my arms at this point. I hope I haven't screwed up my game by not talking to Demodocus.

I've been in the sewer several times and have absolutely NOTHING special after extensive searching of every square inch of wall and fighting back every ratlizard in existance and depoisoning Timon umpteen million times.

My "To Do" list contains "Find source of Kesh" "Ask Halos about Comana" "Sapphire books of wisdom" (I think I found around 5) "Cure Alaric" and "Negotiate Wine Contract" in short, a very small amount of stuff. Of course I've completed every other mission that I've been gived at this point. (Including all the Seldane ones, Free Maayti, etc.)"

I hope someone can give me some direction, I really am quite lost... Feel free to ask for more info about my game if you require it.

You need to get him to talk to you. Hopefully that will trigger some of these other things. Have you tried hanging out at the Rat's Tail? (Or whatever the name of that inn is!) Ask him about friends (He's going to want to know who sent you.) and Comana. Then make darn sure you've returned Stentor's net to him and had a nice conversation with him. Any pointers on getting persuation? I haven't done anything with the ratcatchcers guild and haven't been able to get the guy that says "get off my yard" to tell me much even though I've figured out how to talk to him.

And have I lost out on anything important with not having talked with Demodocus? According to things I've picked up from this board he was supposed to able to help me with a musical lock issue, is that chance gone?

(I'm writing this to jog my memory) I have found a lyre (S-D) and have been gived the panpipes by someone in Odemia. There's so many people to remember which house everyone belongs to, what their names are, what position they hold and where they live that it drives me crazy.

He tells you a story...you have to click on exactly the right word each time or you have to go back to the beginning. When you get a response that isn't negative, write it down. There is a certain order to the responses you have to make. If you want a spoiler, post again.

Nope. Demoducus eventually ends up in the home of his friend, Bryaxis. He'll end up staying there...pretty much. You can always ask him about "teach."

Well would you look at that! After I posted my message I went out and played a bit more and at late 11:00 I found Halos sitting right there in the two-tailed rat and talking to him and pretty much asked him about everything I could think of so now that mission is done. Then I went over to Neoptolemus and figured out how to make him teach me stuff after a while so now I have haggling and persuasion.

My question now is: What should I do, Hang around or sleep 'till the next day in the hopes that something has happened?

You know, I learned persuasion, talked to halos, but Bryaxis sitill says the same thing: Demodocus is my friend, and a master of the lyre.

You said that he eventually ends up in Braxis house almost permanentyly., well I decided that since I was way to pissed off at not finding demododocus, I would start anew game. In this new game, I killed Demodocus and kept him in Bryaxis's dresser. Talk about permanent residence.
