Learning fishing and having the rod are not enough
Its just like trying to persuade a golem, you have to know what it does and how to use it for you to do a skill.
Personally I never really cared to use fishing even though I had a rod and and the skill.

Maybe the spells you're talking about were only in the beta versions of Cythera, or were named that way in the beta versions, but changed in the released version. Croax, I think that JSY was talking about the famous Deep Water Problem. You cast the rod into the water, but no fish come. Instead you see: You need to cast the rod into deep water. Sadly, there is no "Deep Water" in the game, making fishing a pointless skill.

actually glaive, Croax got what I meant. And I would have needed your advice later when i had the problem with deep water. But I still don't understand what Croax means. Croax can you explain in a different way to me. so i can understand. I don't really care either. I just want to try everything in Cythera(thats the reason why I asked about the spells too.)

I assume all you have to do to fish is find deep water and use the rod on it. I'll find deepwater one of these days.

My obscure reference to persuading a golem is that you can learn the skill persuasion but have no clue what it does or how to use it. Thus you try to use persuade on a golem, knowing no better, and not knowing how to anyways.

As for the well, I was just curious.

Does anyone know what a/the veil is?

Life is a mind altering substance. It should be considered a drug and taken off the market. Any remaining life should be confiscated.
Note:
1 Life causes your brain to function and muscles to build. It therefore should be condsidered a steroid as well.
2 Once used, you cannot stop using life until you die. It is the most addictive drug out there (excepting pokemon).

From what I hear, if the veil spells exist, they make objects invisible and visible. Unfortunately, they probably don't exist.
