Democodus seems to have disappeared in my game.
This is after i get the panpipes from whats their name.
I know I should be looking, and i've been almost everywhere (i haven't been to the vanishing stronghold, or through the entire other stronghold) and I can't seem to find him. Does anyone else know?
Also, has anyone else gotten 2 of someone, one talking to you, the other a corpse? I recieved a timon corpse.

Ah! Timon! You're dead!
No I'm not.
Yes you are! Just look!
Oh! So I am!

A stroke of genius hit me and I figured a way to keep democodus from running away!

This is actually probably not the normal method, but it ought to be amusing anyways.

Early in the game I'll go to the bridge where democodus is, and I'll kill him.
Then I take his corpse, and proceed through the rest of the game, unil i get the pipes. Then I resurect him with my amulet, and it is like nothing happened!

I still need to know the correct method.
And i'll need to know where to put the corpse, I just can't take him everywhere, so I need to store him somewhere. I already have filled the landkings hall with money. Every drawer and chest is full of it. I'm not a miser or anything, I'm just trying to see if I can buy the warehouse, not that i need it either, having already broken into it.

I love it. I will have to start a new game just to try it. Posted Image

Try using Slayer's chest in chest storage system to hold all the money.

I don't like chests that much actually.
But think about this:

Bryaxis wakes up one morning, goes to his dresser for his clothes and finds his best freind's corpse in it.
I'm not actually this sick. I'd probably hid it in one of the pynx student's room.

I never use the amulet. I always revert before someone dies, and teleport out of there. I only use it when I have to. I will sometimes use the "Resurrect" spell. I once got tired of Timon dying by lichs, so I carried his corpse around. I'd resurrect him when I wanted him around, hehe Posted Image

Once I cast mystic arrow on a crab. It turned to bloody ooze, but when I got up next to it, it started attacking me. When I attacked it, it would make human sounds, died, and left a crab corpse. Weird, huh.

I'm enjoying the heck out of this thread. Posted Image That idea was very clever and quite humorous. You have to let us know if this works.

Ah! Here's a good idea!
Kill Alaric, Take his corpse. When you are in a really hard dungeon or just need a quick heeling, resurcet him. Its Alaric the pocketsized action figure!
I want to collect a set of elemental corpses.
Getting to ignae will be tough. I'll need a lot of power with the fetch spell to get his body. When I get them all, i'll resurect them for a reunion!

Hey does anyone know why when you try to resurect the dead ruffian in the secret hall in land kings hall, it instead resurects a shrub or some water?
I find this very strange.

Kill Alaric? How can you do that...he seems immune to everything. Sword of Heroes, Death Strike, explosives...

What you kidding? I've killed him more than anyone else in the game!
2nd up is timon.
3rd prusa

I just started a new game. I'll be sure to tell you the results of my conquest.
Also I may just have a way to keep my karma from dropping....

Casting increases the power of your spells. No wonder I was able to destroy mage locked doors with death-strike when I started out as a mystic! Does anyone know how the "Mind" and "Reflex" help you out

mind probably increases the amount of mana you get when you train for mana, or or the probability of whether your spell will succeed.
At level three now.
Bodies colected:
Exodus
Antiphonus
guy in the secret passage in land kings hall.

i need to learn resurect spell to finish my idea, but I'm not sure i can get that without finding/resurectomg demcocdus.

Reflex equals ability to dodge, or cause your opponent to miss.
Perhaps the rate at which you can fight.
Speed, such as you have 2 hits for every enemy 1. Or vica versa.

Actually, I think that it's mana that increases your ability to cast a spell correctly the first time. The resurrection spell is in the eigth degree hall (You need all ten books). How would you get the elemental corpse for water? Wait, kill Pelagon!

I guess I can use the amulet just for democodus. Then get the books and get the resurection spell.
Now i repeat! How do you find democodus, does anyone else have this problem?

Ah, yes! I've though of a new collection, Judges! Maybe I'll do one for all of the different houses! (probably not)
Status update: Level 5, I know fist of death. I'm almost completely sure my 'Karma Fix' will work. Almost time.

I need to know something though: If you leave your people in a city, and then come back to the city, will they be where you left them?
Who's magpie's son? Magpie says he's three people or something. He'll be the perfect addition to my collection, a skizoid corpse!
Has anyone noticed that I seem to be the only person, who replies this much to their own post?

! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
I DID IT ! ! !
I managed to kill demodocus at level three (my level five game got ruined, i said the wrong thing and demodocus ran away) The 'Karma Fix' worked! I was able to raise him from the dead with my amulet!

Now I have only one problem... What do I ask him?

Hmmm...sounds like a mixture between Psycho and The Godfather.

I've never actually used a chest for anything productive. Just too plain heavy. I once carried kesh in it...then I realized what kesh was.

If you're seriously trying to play the game (instead of collecting corpses), don't kill Magpie! He is vital! You'll even find out who his son is! Wow! What a deal! I beat the game about five times, but nobody pays attention to me, <<sniff>>

Hey! I'm hurt! I don't keep them dead you know.
I want a chimera. Or at least see one.
Spamguy, where as you carried it around in a chest, and then got rid of it, I caried it around in a coffer, and when I realized what it was, I tried to drink it.
Anyone tried to resurect the dead ruffian in the land kings hall? If anyone has, do they know why they end up resurecting a shrub or water?
Please tell me what to ask demodocodus.
Hey this time it's corpses. Last game (I'm haven't finished it) it was obols(not small cash, Hall of the Land King sized cash)

I shall Repeat my original question.

'WHERE DO YOU FIND DEMODOCUS?'

Now a repitition of me second question:

'HE KNOWS THE CODE FOR THE PIPES.
WHAT DO I NEED TO ASK HIM FOR
HIM TO TELL ME?'

The second question is more important than the first, but I would rather be able to keep my first game, th one where demodocus dsappeared, not the one in which I killed him to get the answer.

If anyone knows the answer to any of these questions, please answer me.

Demodocus wanders from town to town. Ask the inn-keepers in each city about him. They'll point you in the right direction(usually). If the guy in Catamarca says Cademia, then no one in Cademia knows, he's in Cademia. Most of the time, you can chase him to Cademia. Other times, he's on the bridge.

Ask about Canachus to get the tune.

In my saved game, everyone says, oh he was here a while ago, but i don't know where he went to. or We haven't seen him lately.

Well anyways, thanks for who to ask the for the code, I thought it was demodocus.
But then, what does demodocus carry a lute, money, boots, and a cloak for?

And Most importantly, Why does demodocus have the best human corpse in cythera?
I like its graphics. If you're a bard or a story teller, will he give you the lute?

Does anyone know if UrSylph has a corpse, or Ignae?

Demodocus is one of my role models. I want to be like him. After two steps he hits warp speed, and teleports out from wherever he is to where he should be. Its hell to find and kill him again though.
