Hey guys, just wondering, what archetypes (Type of player, explorer, berserker, mage, etc.) do you all start with? Why? In my opinion, I like to start out with the fighter, mainly because when you get the skill "Defense" unitalicized (I don't know why they do that in the first place), you go from about 26 health to about 50 :P

Something goes down here, I just can't remember what...

I think that the rogue (ranger?) is the worst of the game. Lockpicking, awareness, and the other skills are useless and are duplicated by other characters. If I had the time to play Cythera again then I would either place as a fighter or as a mage.

I've done several characters. Mystic, Ranger, Fighter, Swordsman, and Storyteller are the ones I didn't like. The two I did like were Wizard and Explorer. With the wizard, once I got acceptable magic levels I trained up to about level 5 for Sword and 7 for Defense. That and the Sword of Heroes kicks major booty.
Explorer is nice, but if I do the Explorer I usually train in all magic and sword. These are the two best skills, at least that's how it seems to me.

I think that awareness is a great skill in the game. It is really helpfull in getting started in the game with the detect secrets. I use the time-telling part now to test things to see if they're time activated (Like getting the sapphire book of beuty). I also like to use the berserk, because of the strong attack strength, and basically what a berserk is. I had to study vikings in sixth grade, and I've played a lot of Myth.

I just start with an explorer, and perfect it by going up to level 25.
