If you are _really_ frustrated with Halos...

I followed the advice given here and must have tried 20 times to find Halos. The one time I did find him I guess I said the wrong thing.

Finally, I went to his shop and (I am a really non-violent person) attacked him. Then we talked quite a while in a very friendly way but when I left he chased and attacked me! (The nerve!)
The other side effect - Meleager has become very aggressive and keeps shouting "Get out of my way, punk!"

Did you just get Aethon after talking to Halos, because he and Meleager fight alot. Try asking one about the other, and they'll get into an argument. "I oughta beat some sense into you young punk, but that's a lost cause" "Just try old man..."

The way to speak to Halos is to catch him at lunch at the Inn (The Two-tailed Rat, I think). He is usualy ther for an hour or two around lunch. You can also catch him walking to an from lunch.

You can also catch him at his desk when it's night out. Just sleep in his bed until sunset, and then sleep a few more hours.

Apparently Halos never got hungry while I was looking for him. I would have _never_ tried attacking him if I hadn't been really frustrated (latent aggressiveness, I guess).
I'm considering trying the same thing with Bryaxis so I can get to Demodecus - but he seems like such a nice man - and kind of elderly and frail - and I don't want anything to happen to him.

As soon as I picked up Aethon things started happening, though. I still have a few loose ends to tie up in that exercise and then back to the never-ending Demodecus trail.
