Collecting (& selling??) stuff

Is there any point in collecting stuff I don't think I'll use? Can weapons and armor be sold? I'm accustomed to computer RPGs where you get stuff-sell stuff-buy better stuff, and I'm curious (having not found anywhere to sell much of anything) if Cythera is not that type of game.

There are very few things that can be sold in this game. Unfortunately, weapons and armor are not among them.
