WHo gives you a clue on how to find the kelp. I had to look on Slayers web site to find it was in the wine vats. Thats pretty vague. I mean with out any clues you would have to search the whole island.

There really aren't that many vats(not urns!) in Northshore Vineyard. Search them all.

I haven't registered the game. I already found the kelp, but why do you need it?

I found the kelp early on too and was thinking about ditching it until I saw this message. I guess it is needed for something if it is an issue although I don't know what yet. If I had ditched it, would I have been able to find more or would I be out of luck on one of the missions????

Ditching the kelp is one thing you can do wrong at the beginning of the game and you won't find out that your game is hopeless until the end. I know this from personal experience. Do NOT throw away the kelp!

A certain mage needs it before you can complete the game the right way.

You can get another piece of kelp in the bed of the prisoner (who died) in Odemia's jail.

I honestly don't think it was that difficult to find the kelp. When I was told that I needed a piece...I simply revisted every place in which I was told that I "smelled the sea." I'm sure there were several pieces scattered throughout the game.

The kelp is to give to Charax for him to distill, I think. You need the kelp to cure Alaric!
