Slayers site says the odd helmet is good defense against stuff...i think ive found it or them, but what is so good about them?

I think they help protect you against certain spells. So they're good to have if you're going up against daemons and such.

Odd helmets make you resistant, though not immune, to magic. It will almost always prevent effect magic(fear, confusion, etc.) from working.
