What's the deal with the mystic spear? I finally got the darn thing, equipt it, then turned around and whacked one of those dinky little crabs with it. I walked around in the cave a bit before I realized that it wasn't in my hands any more, so I went back to where the crab blood was and no spear!! Unfortunately, I had already saved before I realized it was gone. Was that it? One use??? Is it gone for good? What a rip off!!!

When you attack at a range with the spear, you throw it and it gets stuck on your target. I hate to break the bad news to you, but it's gone forever if you didn't take it off the corpse.

Just out of curiousity, what if you chucked the spear at a dissapearing target like a polyp?

I remember that in an old version, the spear disappeared, but I think they might have fixed it.
