Buried Teasure (spoilers)

Ok ladies and gentlemen I have found a small piece of paper which gives directions to a buried treasure. However I'm an impatient SOB and really can't be bothered working out where the treasure is buried. The directions that are given are too specific and it is near impossible to work out where they mean you to go in the first place.

For those that don't have the paper it can be found by examining a specific campfire in cademia. If you know where to find the treasure please tell me, because it would be most useful.

There's a hill in NE Cademia...go SW from the hill and look for loose dirt. I had a problem with this because it told me I was stealing when I took the treasure. I would think that's a bug. I would think.

Mmm...I dunno. Posted Image I don't remember farmland. That doesn't mean it's not there. Go all the way east until you run into the river and then go north...you'll see the hill surrounded by an embankment that you can't get up.

Thanks guys, I finally found it. It seems that I was looking in the wrong place, I was always looking outside of Cademia. Anyway thanks again!

The map, or rather the directions, to find the buried treasure is in a campfire in Cademia. Just go around to all of ther rooms without doors. Search the campfire, if it's not there, find another campfire. The directions to find the treasure are very confusing. The easiest way to find it is to go the East (right) of Bryaxis' house. There are to trees planted rather far apart.... I hate giving directions. Let's see if I can draw it with text...
______
|T
|T
|T
|T T. . . . X
|T .
|T .
|T .
|T .
______|T T

That's about what it looks like, "T" being a tree, "X" being where the treasure is. Mind you, the steps are not the same as the periods. The box (or partial box) is Bryaxis' house. Hopefully you'll be able to find it, I know I had a b***h of a time finding it.

The d**n web board doesn't want to post the picture right, there are supposed to be a bunch of spaces here and there, I hope you can figure that out to.

Merlyn - thanks for taking the time to attempt to provide a real map to the treasure, instead of just the directions provided by the campfire note.

I know HTML for the Web Board is turned off, but it appears you can use the nbsp HTML escape character to insert a space (repeat as necessary for multiple spaces). It would be cool if you could redo the map for us, but also a pain so I understand if you do not undertake this little task. If you have any questions on how to do that just email me (aventari@bbnow.net)

OK, I'll give the map a shot:

..T......T.H..TTH...S
WW.........HH...H...S
.W..........HHHHH...S
.WT..................S
.W...................S
.WT..................S
.W....T...X......T....S
WW....................S
.TT..................S
......................SS
........................SS
..........T........WWWWWW.S

Where W is the wall of a building (dark gray on the automap), H is the hill (gray on the automap), T is a tree (gray on the automap), and, well, X marks the spot. ;-)

Oh, and it may help to know that three of the trees to which the "directions" refer are dead; they have no leaves.

Hope this helps.
