I am a 7th level Mage. Meliager simply does not want to teach me awareness. I've asked him time and time again, all he wants to do is teach me hand2hand.

Help?

This about drove me insane too. Apparenty you cannot ask Meleager about it; he has to offer to teach you. When this happens may or may not be random; I don't know. For me, he finally offered it when I talked to him in the ruins of Abydos (south of Pnyx along the coast). Good luck!

Talk to him after you face a demon or meet some bad-ass enemy. He might say "Some of the things i've seen worry me....then he'll give you option to teach you awareness
