Just another case of a seemingly useless skill, much like Weaving, below. Is there anywhere that I can buy/safely steal a fishing pole so that I can actually make use of my Fishing skill?

Actually, did anyone succeed in fishing anything but the "deep water" message?

For some odd reason, if you move something before taking it, it isn't stealing anymore. Works on fishing poles too! Good luck finding this mythical "deep water," though.

Nuh uh. This handy dandy little bug was fixed in 1.03. Darn it all.

Actually, I can still steal by moving objects before taking them. And, yes I did upgrade to 1.0.3. So, apparently some people can and some people can't! Lucky me

I guess I'm just another one of the lucky people.

I used the Duplicate spell on a fishing pole in Cademia. It let me take the cloned pole. On the other hand, cast as I may, there doesn't seem to be any deep water around. Maybe you need to be in a boat, and they just never got around to implementing that. Posted Image

Well...shoot. I feel pretty silly. See..I just took them at their WORD that the bug was out of the game. Turns out I can still steal this way as well. Geesh, and after I went to all the trouble and training points of learning how to steal. :::sigh::: But I never found a place to fish either.
