This being my first Chronicle, it probably won't be that great. I will write others depending on how this turns out.

I, Lukeia, along with my party of fifteen lay exhausted after our long trek across the Titans Spine mountains. We were sent by Pnyx to scout the area across the mountains to see if we could find more men to stop the invasion of Tavara. We found no men brave enough to face the might of Tavara. None, that is, except one. We found him during our plea to the Tyrant in Cademia. Though the tyrant responded to our plea saying, "My power does not extend past the mountains," as we left we came across a man in a ragged brown cloak. Though the cloak was torn in many places and stained with blood, it was strangely of unusually high quality. This cloak had a solid silver frog, though it was badly tarnished, and though now nearly unnoticible, had remains of the lining. It was silk, the finest silk we had ever seen. Through the holes in the cloak I noticed armor seemingly of crocodile skin, though the scales were much larger than those of a crocodile.

"My name is Dethontis," he spoke from under the hooded cloak. "I heard you during your plea to the Tyrant. I was in the tree in the courtyard, though you wouldn't have seen me if you looked." "Wh..." I started. Dethontis interrupted me and said, "I know the land much better than anyone, I also know where Tavara's stronghold is." "Wher..." I tried to interject. "I will take you there. In exchange allow me to join your party. My knowledge and my blade are yours." I looked at Dethontis and thought 'a poor man like this couldn't even afford any type of weapon other than a sling or a cheap knife.' As if he read my mind he pulled out from under his cloak two vicious looking curved daggers spun them twice in his hands and threw the right one into the air and like lightning sheathed the left one and caught the other. Dumbfounded, I looked down at my tunic and it seemed to split. I looked at Dethontis he opened his left hand an in his palm where five rings he them pointed to my tunic I looked closely and noticed a small gap in my chain mail and a small cut on my chest. I looked back at Dethontis and his dagger had a small drop of blood on it and the blade began to glow a dim purple and the blood seemed to have disappeared. He said, "I come from the Cult of Scylla."

This chronicle was pretty short, but it's a good start. Dethontis seems like he can turn into an interesting character.

Your first chronicle was well written. Mine I think was probably much worse, and look where I am now (Cities of Fire). I like your good description of Dethontis' attack, and the cliffhanger worked well.

On a side note, you might take an interest to my chronicle History of Cythera's Mysteries, Part 1: Lost Abydos, which is an entirely non-fictional analysis of Abydos, Tavara, the Undine, and the Cult of the Scylla based on factual information that hides all over the game.
