Many years passed without much important happening in Cythera after the great Hercules, who saved Alaric, left. Then one day a little boy about the age of twelve went to the tavern which his father owned and sat down next to a beggar. This was the same beggar that Hercules talked to about the Tyrant's tomb. The tomb which contained the belt of strength and loads of money.

Now the beggar preferred to tell this story. "Yessss. I remembah Herkulez," he told the boy.
"Did he have a sword?" the boy asked. This boy, Ivor, loved swords and was saving up to get himself one.
"Why, yesss he did. It waz called the Sword o' Heroes and it waz the best sword ever. It waz made for the Tyrant's Cappin o' the Gard by the Swordsmen of Darkness caz he kept them safe frum summat."
"Who are they?" Ivor asked, sounding intrigued.
"Well, dey are the best swordsguys around. My grrrranndaddy once told me of dem. See, he was da cappin's firs' officer. Dey are faster den lightnin' and stronger den any old ruffian too. Dey have a hidden guild somewhere."
"Can you tell me where it is Mister?"
"No. My granddaddy didn't tell me dat. He told me where I could find out though."
"Where?" Ivor almost yelled.
"It'll cost yah." He smirked.
"How much?" Ivor groaned.
"Enuf fer four o' dos drinks." Ivor winced. That was 12 oboloi! That meant all his savings! "Oh well. Here you go." He slapped a velvet pouch on the table and emptied its contents. "Ok. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. I'll tell yah." Ivor leaned close. "It's in the library at Pynx. Look up 'Swordsmithy' and read it. Den use the reference to 'The Mysteries of Cythera' in the Land King Hall library. Look up 'The Sword Star' and den go talk to da blacksmith in Cademia about 'The Black Mountains.'"

So Ivor told his parents he was going to study around the land and left the next day. 'I'm finally free,' he thought. 'All I have to do is do what the old man said and ask them for a sword and training!' But, unfortunately for Ivor, he was quite wrong...

It was a little short, but overall, not that bad a start.

Slayer's already said exactly what I was going to - not a bad start, but rather short. As a rough guide, I'd say you should aim at making each part at least three times as long as this one. The story idea is rather interesting, though. Posted Image

Nice, but I'd have rolled the first and second parts together. It would have then added up to a reasonable lenghth. Good start, Mr. Somebody.
