Even those these boards...and the game, appear to be dead, I have nowhere else I can put updates about my stuff. People who played with me on GM or DLed my stuff would know me as ExtremeSpeed. I tried to use the name for boards, but I never got a password for the account. Anyways, heres whats going on. I got a new computer, but all my work is on the old one which now has no internet access. It has all my updates. I'll try to tranfer my work over to this comp. Heres the status:

Catharan Crusades: Its getting bug fixes, briefing fixes, and 5 so called 'bonus' levels. 3 are based on Space Warz, one on Space Race, and then final is completely new, but refusing to cooperate.

My Strat Guide: Will have a new name, updated info, and more sometime in the future...sometime. Maybe it might even be on a single file!

Former Single Player Levels: Making a balanced version. For example, on While the Iron is Hot, both players will get a carrier instead of just Player Two. This will take awhile.

In the concept stage...

A net level using enhanced cruisers for battle...and some other stuff. Can't give any detail, I do not want my ideas stolen. > Posted Image

Also, a new storyline involiving the past in how the Canthatrans became so powerful. This will take a long time since I don't have much understanding in Hera use.

If theres any more updates, I'll post em.

Eight people have looked at this and nobody has given any comments? Sheesh, either I'm hated, nobody thinks I'm ExtremeSpeed, or I should have given this a better name.

Now that I think if it, I really don't know how to get a new single player to work right from scratch. I can do net levels or a copy & paste the level thing, but I can't get brand new ones to work. Any plug making guides out there?

My brother and I have joined together and started to make a pair of plugs that run in the same storyline. Using the unused stuff in Ares, we will be making two races for these plugs. Both plugs will be the same story but different sides. It is planned for each side to have 25 levels. Work on the ships is in progress. However, an annoying thing that tends to happen is new weapons tend to make you blow yourself up. Fixing that and adding stuff. Don't expect to see it too soon however...I still need to figure out how to make missions.

I highly doubt that there are enough Ares players left to actually hone your skills. Thus, those who are champions now, will probably stay champions forever.

/me bows with reverence to the champions

Hey, wow its been like 2 years since I last posted 'round here. Glad to see the old diehard core of fans is still keeping the place "alive" =D.

I started working on a moderately ambitious plug-in about 2 years ago, but only got 3 levels into it. I've decided to finish it this summer. You all know what that means...BETA TESTING!!!. Well...I don't actually need people now, I'm just trying to help kickstart the Ares summer "revival." I'll keep y'all posted though. Ares is NOT dead!!

I have always liked Ares, and I played it intermittently online a while ago. I stopped for a variety of reasons. I still have fond memories, however.

I play all the time, but it's getting kind of tedious doing "The mothership connection" over and over and over

I couldn't get it to run any faster than one frame a minute or so,
so i guess it doesn't work.
It works okayish on 10.2.8, but that's probably no good to you!

You can't, unless you like extremely low frame-rates. Your only hope is to own a Mac that can boot into classic-- something new ones can't do.
