It's out, and I downloaded it. It's pretty good, except that on level 5A it keeps crashing Ares...

Anyway, it's semi-challenging, which I like, 'cause Black Seas and After the War were both a bit too easy. The plot revolving around how well you do is a cool feature, and the new Obish ships are interesting.

I guess I could get around mission 5A by failing the one that led me to it, which leaves a pretty good plug.

Yeah, I caught a pretty nasty bug when I finished 3A, but only once. I think Slug made the Obish a little too tough though, 'cuz it's still too easy. Very well made none the less.

Yeah. It's too easy, even though it's possible for me to lose on a few missions when trying my best. My plug, "The Rouge," I have made sure is difficult. Not like I get completely wasted difficult, but just close enough that it makes me determined to try again, even if it's the tenth time.

I have been unable to replicate your crashing problems, if it's error codes 1-4, then increase memory to ares; if it's error codes 11 or higher, restart the computer. Also, if you find errors or bugs please email them to me.

As for the Obish being too tough, I will fix that in my next version, 1.0.4

Thank you for the compliments, I worked independently from the other member (singular, unfortunately Posted Image ) of Slugsoft on this one and it took a lot of work.

What system do you have? It's a bit different in OS 8 than in OS 7.

Found it before you could tell me, Pyro Posted Image

Ah, the memories. To think, all the self-promotion, hype and talk and Iron Fist was the only major project that actually got done.
Well, soon to be joined by another.

Cube Ships are still functional when 78 % of the ship has been destroyed. I guess you could have as little as 2/9 of a borg cube.

You could have costructed the level to literally give us 4,798,294,221 1/2 borg cubes, Slug. (I memorised that number when I first got the plug)

Wow, you mean I still have a fan? I'm glad someone enjoyed my work.
(I cannot - I have just discovered Panther makes Ares run at 1 fps Posted Image)

The first installment's already up on the EV Image Gallery. If you have two minutes to spare, you should watch it, even though it only gives a faint idea of setting (people familiar with my ideas will instantly know).

1fps!! My condolences.
Looks like Panther has lost its pant...

I'm glad that I retained the option to boot natively in OS 9 Posted Image
Checking the EV thingy now,

... funny, I never could warm to EV,
even though I was trying it out before Ares.

"Throne of Stars" eh, or at least a trailer movie of same.
Kinda reminds a cross between Bab 5 and Star Wars....

I presume it will be up to your usual standard! Posted Image
I'll volunteer as a beta tester when the time comes.

Does your little animated series have anything to do with an Ares add-on?

It takes place in a small portion of the same setting as an abandoned project.
That's a bit of a stretch, so to be short: no.

Well, what do you call major? Star Trek Ares was a pretty decient sized project, and it pulled off quite well.

And Starlance, no doubt. Ah, memories. It's interesting to see that good old Footsteps of Pyrrhus is still number one on the charts after all this time...
