By the way, "latas" means "cans" in Spanish. Is that what you were intending?

Perhaps he means "Later" but can't spell...
Spelling can be tricky in English, all those silent letters and things.

Yes, maybe that is why he spelled children with S at the end. To my knowledge the plural form of child is children. No S. glad to have helped you jo jo bob!
