Would anyone be interested in another RPG plugin similar to Mag Steelglass' Vengeance done either with the standard Ares ships or with VI3 ships/another TC? Vote!
a. yes, either
b. yes, ares
c. yes, TC
d) Ares lacks the required functionality for RPGs; leave them to EV/O/N
e) screw it, lern c++ and make arse 2 3d infinit playr dethmatch instead!!!
Would anyone be interested in a website hosting full strategy guides for Ares, all singleplayer plugins, all net plugins and for net Ares as well as hosting progress logs and media of upcoming plugins, hera articles and tutorials, tutorials for making simple 3d ships for a plug, links to Ares related sites etc.?
a. yes
b. no
c. you suck, make Ares 2 3d 64 player deathmatch(with no lag on 9600 baud connections on up!) or I'll hunt you down and exterminate you! bwhahahaha

2) Sounds sort of like an Ares Axis Revival. If we could find somewhere to host it (Laguna?), I'd wholeheartedly approve.

IIRC Laguna's www.xyz.n3.com space is gone, at least Mag's site is. If there are enough people who want something like this I'd be willing to use all my life savings( ) and buy some space+a domain(www.arescenter.com / www.ares-info.com perhaps ?) at www.racknine.com or something similar.

Oh- AA. Especially on the second one- I don't think there's ever been a truly definitive Ares site.

I still have about 60 megs+ of web space I don't use if it's needed.
Excellent. Guess I could just buy the domain and link it to your space then.
...
goes to work on pages
[edit: laguna does your webspace support SQL and PHP(for a forum for progress logs)]

Hey, another Pole, me like Ares Poles!!
Question 1, a.
We've heard this before! I would be interested in helping with doing the levels, if it ever gets off the ground, and if it is properly organised prior to commencement...
Question 2, a.
Websites are quite cheap, about 150 USD a year to register and maintain a good site. If you are interested in learning more Patrick, then check out http://www.pair.com/ they're a good start.
Then of course you need software to write the web site... I use Dreamweaver and Go Live and I would be willing to assist with constructing the site if the other authors were using Dreamweaver or Go LIve. I would probably also be able to make web site space available in a few months time.
The size of the downloadable files might present a problem as many domain hosts place a charge on traffic above a certain rate of MB per Month. You could get round this by spreading the content over several hosts.
------------------
Oh, so it is another bug hunt then...

It's seldom that I would do a site in simple text, though I do admit that I use it for "laying out" java script...
