What about them? For all of Ares' existence, people have been making new races with new ships, adding ships to existing races, and messing around with ships arleady created. Humans, Obish, Elejeetian, Audemedon, Salrillian, Ishiman, you name it, they've all got one or more new spiffy ships. But not for the Bazidanese, all they STILL have is the battleship, which is good and all, but its all they have. I just think someone should make some plug with stuff for them. I have no ship making ability, nor the program to do it. (I've tried making ships, but they suck) And since the Ares board is going really slow, I just wanted to post my idea. Thanks

Oh, I have a Bazidanese Cruiser somewhere. But there are really two reasons that it hasn't been done yet:
1) The Bazidanese aren't a warlike race; they wouldn't be particularly interesting to play if they were made accurately.
2) There aren't any Zid freaks around here. There is an interest in the Elejeetians, because they can counter Auds without being Auds or Sals, and there are Obish freaks around here (mainly me).

If you want to learn, there are two tutorials included with Hera which provide step by step instructions. Never got how people could have trouble learning Hera when the tutorials are right there...

And yeah, what Pallas said. Actually, in the net plugin TOR(The Other Races) you can be Bazidanese I think.

I can use Hera fairly well: i just dont have a good graphics program. The only thing i have is Photoshop v.5 or someting, which doesnt work very well for making Ares ships. I downloaded TOR and played it after editing it to single player, and yes you can play as the "Zids." But it doesn't add any new ships, just changes the size of the battleship. I just think it would cool to play as updated Bazidan.

I wonder what weapons the bazidanese would have, and if so, if they had any new ones? Ideas?

Well I don't thnk they would have the supreme manueverability of the Obish or Ele.'s, but they do have heavy firepower, or it seams they do (maybe they just have a really good battleship and their other stuff sucks, like the gaitori gunship and the rest of the gaitori) But for weapons, as Pallas Athene said they're nonmilitarilistic, but advanced, so maybe like rapid non turret Z-beams, some kinda standard pulse for lighter ships, maybe a very slightly tracking one like the FPC's in EVN, and their gunships and cruisers slower heavier then the speedy Obies.

I'd expect high armor, and not much else. Possibly a major upgrade to the transport, though.

They have high armor and rapid fire tracking weapons. That Z-Pulse is pretty good, though not quite an Inasa or Onas pulse.

I like the Obish too, the plug I made has the version of them that is pretty pumped up (Obish Vs. Elejeetian) and I love the manueverability of their ships, their speed, and their relative firepower. They're like the Sals on steroids. For overall firepower I'd have to go with the Elejeetian, and nothing beats dogfighting about 7 Gaitori Cruisers in one. I like taking out flak drones.

I'd wager they'd have on their not-quite-capital ships (HVCs, gunships) some sort of fast firing, long range, non-tracking though possibley turreted pulse which deals a good amount of damage; think upgraded magneto pulse.

And since Baz ships are organic, don't expect to see missiles or any other weapon that requires too much manufacturing.

Organic, eh? Didn't know that. Now, question about their picture. All the pictures show the entire creature, so is the shot of the Bazidan simply a head, or is it the whole thing?

Slow, heavily armored (shielded), good weaponry - almost like Canth Gunships, but a bit better. That's what I'd see them as.

I've seen them in a few old plugs. The ships all had somewhat amateur graphics, but like mentioned, were slow and hard to kill.
